Undergraduates

Each year we advertise Part II projects on burying beetles, several of which have led to publications in past. We also take on a limited number of undergraduate interns over the summer months, if space permits.

MPhil and PhD students

If you are interested in postgraduate study in the lab, especially on the burying beetles, then we can help devise projects and assist you with your application for funding. Note that most deadlines for funding fall between October and early January, with funding deadline for overseas applicants falling earlier.

Post-docs and Research Fellows

From time to time we advertise post-doctoral positions in the lab – keep an eye on the current job opportunities page!

We are also keen to recruit new Research Fellows to the Behavioral Ecology group. The Zoology Department is an excellent place to hold a research fellowship because:

* We can help you with every step of your application, from writing the proposal to mock interviews.

* We have a good track record of helping applicants secure their fellowship funding.

* Research Fellows in the Department are treated as full members of the Academic Staff, and given plenty of opportunities for career development.

* In the last decade, almost every independent research fellow who has worked in the Department has subsequently secured a permanent academic position, either at Cambridge or at another university.
